Using the Body to Regulate Emotion: Perspectives from DBT and other Evidence-Based Treatments, presented by Suzette Bray.
Clients often experience emotions that are sudden and overwhelming. Being able to use the body to
reduce vulnerability to emotion, increase ability to recognize and anticipate emotional responses and
regulate emotional response is vital to not being swept away by strong emotions. This workshop will
provide therapists with tools to teach their clients to use both in and out of session and be effective in
their daily lives.
