WORKING WITH DOGS IN PRACTICE: CLINICAL, ETHICAL, AND PERSONAL CONSIDERATIONS, Presented by Hannah Herkert, M.A This presentation will cover all aspects of utilizing dogs in clinical practice, including risks, benefits, ethics, legartial, personal, and professional. Participants will be able to understand and recogonize the difference between Therapy Dogs, Service Dogs, Facility Dogs, Skilled Companions, Emotional Support Animals and pets. Participants will be able to identify and explain the working dog that best suits their personal and professional lives. Participants will learn and understand how a dog can operate effectively in multiple settings, including private practice, schools, hospitals, and court. Participants will be able to plan and implement therapeutic activities with their canine partners and clients.
