This presentation is designed to provide clinicians with a greater understanding of the experiences of African-American/Black clients and other people of color in and outside of the therapeutic setting. For clinicians who are Caucasian, this presentation also offers an opportunity to examine one's personal biases, develop empathy that perhaps did not exist previously due to lack of understanding and insight, and deepen the connection with clients of color who may present in their offices.
