THIS IS A ZOOM EVENT
Life is chaotic in 2020. Personally, as a clinician, you are likely concerned for your own health, safety and security. Collectively we see the impact of the BLM Movement, healthcare inequality, financial recession, and politics. Inevitably the events happening in the world are showing up in your therapy sessions. Like you we are feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, confused and often powerless. It shouldn’t be this way.
In grad school we were introduced to the idea of being our good, better, best self. During this challenging time, most of us are struggling to manage feelings of helplessness, and flooding of information. Despite the challenges, how do we use this time to get to our good, better and best self in the therapy room? Collectively we have supported countless people to overcome fear, trauma and uncertainty; enabling them to show up as their authentic selves. Together we have identified steps toward becoming your good, better, best therapist self.
1. Elements of authenticity in the therapy room.4. Ways to continue internal and external growth.
Leaning into these steps, and agreeing to
challenge yourself personally and professionally will lead to increased
compassion, awareness and impact for both yourself and your clients.
Join us not only for this event but for future conversations and
trainings.
Anthony, Jamie, Nicole and Marissa have collaborated to create dialogue for systematic change in the therapy room. Given the diverse cultural and racial backgrounds of the presenters, they work together to gain new perspectives on common experiences through ongoing conversations that explore therapist authenticity, culturally appropriate interventions and inclusive psycho-education.
Each individually is a private practice owner in San Bernardino County.
