President's Message

Hello IE-CAMFT Members!

Somehow we are already at the end of 2025 — and what a year it has been. Our mental health field has moved through tremendous changes, and our communities have felt the impact deeply. In moments like these, I think it’s important to pause and remember why we do this work.

Our ethical foundations — nonmaleficence, beneficence, autonomy, and justice — keep us centered in our purpose: to support, uplift, and advocate for the communities we serve, especially those who have been directly targeted over these last several months.

And as we close out this year, I hope you also take a moment for yourself — for rest, reflection, and grounding. You deserve it.

Holiday Dinner Recap — Community, Laughter & Connection

On Friday December 12, our chapter celebrated our holiday dinner with 30 members — and it was pure joy. We laughed, we connected, we built new relationships, and our White Elephant exchange was a whole vibe!

Check out photos from the event here.

IE-CAMFT Endorsement: Omar González Valentín

We’re excited to officially endorse Omar González Valentín for CAMFT Clinical Director-At-Large. Omar represents leadership grounded in equity, professionalism, and heart — and we need more voices like his at the state level.

CAMFT elections begin March 2026 — please get to know his work and get involved in the voting process!

Closing the Year with Love

As 2025 comes to a close, I want to offer this reminder:

You matter. Your work matters. Your presence matters.
May you finish this year gently, with space for joy, connection, and rest.
May the new year meet you with hope, abundance, and opportunities that align with your purpose.

Thank you for everything you have poured into your clients, your communities, and this profession.

What’s Coming in 2026: Connection, Creativity & Big IE-CAMFT Energy

Networking Pop-Up Events — We’re Coming to You!

In 2026 we’re launching IE-CAMFT Pop-Up Networking Events hosted inside our members’ offices and community spaces across the Inland Empire —
Beaumont, Hesperia, Palm Desert, Riverside, and beyond!

Imagine a relaxed therapist mixer where you can:

Meet clinicians & new therapists
Exchange referrals and community resources
Build relationships that go far beyond an online directory

Want to host a Pop-Up?
Open your space — we’ll handle the snacks, drinks, and good vibes.

Leadership Opportunity: President-Elect

We’re looking for our next President-Elect, and we’re hoping someone in this community feels the call.

This role is perfect for someone who wants to:

Advocate for our profession
Collaborate with a supportive, creative board
Shape the future of our chapter

If your heart whispers “maybe this could be me…” — let’s talk.
Leadership begins with heart, openness, and a willingness to grow.
