MFT’s in Employee Assistance Programs

Sheri Rambharose, M.S., MFT is a past president of the IE-CAMFT Chapter, past Membership Chair, and past Program Coordinator. Sheri has worked for the Riverside County Employee Assistance Program (EAP) since 1998. During her time at the County Sheri has worn many hats.

She has been the ‘Interim EAP’ director, coordinated the ‘EAP’ Wellness Series, and is presently a case manager, provider relations coordinator, and clinical therapist. Sheri graduated from Loma

Linda University in 1981 and maintained a private practice in Redlands, which she closed to join the County.

Sheri will provide us with “an insider’s view’ of the day-to-day operations of Riverside County’s

EAP and a discussion of clinical skills and interventions in this area of practice. Additionally Sheri will spend some time talking about Riverside County’s Exclusive Care Health Insurance Plan and, from this vantage point, how to become part of this network.

Objectives:

▪Provide an overview of the functions of Employee Assistance Programs & the Exclusive

Care Health Insurance Plan

▪Integrate theory and interventions in a short-term model

▪Discuss utilization of outcome measures

▪Discuss the role of evidence-based practice
