We have an exciting few months ahead at IE-CAMFT!
As we move into our 2026–2027 year, we remain focused on creating opportunities for connection, professional development, leadership, and community throughout the Inland Empire.
From our recent Strategic Planning Meeting to upcoming Law & Ethics trainings, committee opportunities, and the return of our Member Appreciation Event—there are many ways to get involved and stay connected.
Here’s what’s happening!
STRATEGIC PLANNING UPDATE:
Help Shape IE-CAMFT Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent Strategic Planning Meeting!
We discussed ways to strengthen member engagement, expand educational and networking opportunities, improve communication, and continue building a sustainable chapter that reflects the needs of our professional community.
One thing was clear: we want more opportunities for our members to be part of the work.
Join an IE-CAMFT Committee
You do not have to serve on the Board to help shape our chapter!
We are inviting members interested in participating in one of our established committees:
Committee involvement is a great way to connect with colleagues, contribute your ideas, build leadership experience, and become more involved with IE-CAMFT.
Interested? We would love to have you join us!
More information on getting involved will be shared soon.
WELCOME ABOARD EVENT: Thank You! Our Welcome Aboard Event was a success!
Thank you to everyone who came out to meet our 2026–2027 leadership team, reconnect with colleagues, and welcome new faces into our community.
We had such a great time together, and it reminded us why creating opportunities for connection outside of CE trainings is so important.
Thank you for showing up, connecting, and continuing to build community with us! Pictures on our Instagram Account!!!
UPCOMING LAW & ETHICS TRAININGS
We have two Law & Ethics opportunities coming up with Curt Widhalm, LMFT, Chair of the CAMFT Ethics Committee.
AI is rapidly changing behavioral health—and clinicians need to understand both its possibilities and its ethical risks.
This workshop will explore recent updates to Section 6 of the CAMFT Code of Ethics related to Telehealth, Technology, and Artificial Intelligence, including: AI hallucinations • Automation bias • Informed consent • Client confidentiality • Ethical AI integration
Whether you're already using AI or simply wondering how it fits into clinical practice, this training will help you navigate this rapidly changing area while keeping human clinical judgment at the center of care.
Whether you're an associate, supervisor, or licensed clinician, this is information you can put into practice immediately.
