It is with great enthusiasm and excitement that I am endorsing all five SaveCAMFT candidates for CAMFT Board of Directors!

In a recent meeting with the five SaveCAMFT candidates I continued to be very impressed by their knowledge, experience and their love of our profession. But most importantly, each candidate is unquestionably committed to making sure CAMFT continues to be the MFT trade association in California.
After a record-breaking, landslide bylaws vote in December, that restored CAMFT to its original purpose advocating for MFTs, the membership made it crystal clear that they want CAMFT to be the California trade association for Marriage and Family Therapists.
In the aftermath of the 2013 bylaws fiasco, it is obvious to me that more needs to be done to rebuild trust in the leadership of CAMFT. I believe the SaveCAMFT slate of candidates will work to restore that trust through transparent leadership, fiscal responsibility and collaboration with the members. Under their leadership CAMFT will once again be laser-focused on maintaining MFTs' strength and influence in California, and in Washington, DC. They all support collaboration with other mental health professions and their continued inclusion in our organization by maintaining the associate member category. I believe they will contribute to a much-needed change in the current culture of the CAMFT leadership.
We need to support these amazing candidates, so they can run a successful campaign, and be elected to the board where they will work hard for CAMFT members. There are two ways you can demonstrate your support for them:
- Spreading the word
- Making a contribution to their campaign
We all need to get involved so we not only elect these incredible individuals, but that we do so with another record-breaking victory that sends them to the board with the mandate they will need.
Let's get the largest voter turnout for a board election in CAMFT's history! You can help make this happen.

- You can also help these candidates by contributing to their campaign here.
If each of you contribute just $25, the SaveCAMFT candidates will be able to send out multiple e-blasts, including a video, to explain to the entire membership what is at stake in this election and introduce each SaveCAMFT candidate. They need our help to cover these costs. So, I urge you to please support the SaveCAMFT candidates with a generous donation of $25 or more.
Together we can make CAMFT the strong, MFT advocacy organization we deserve!
